FCBD + Star Wars Day 2015

So this is my 3rd year joining in the festivities for Free Comic Book Day! Went around with a full troop of friends to help gather as much goodies as possible! So much fun!

Kinokunia Main Store at Nee Ang City was our first stop, as always, since the bag of comics given out by them each year had proven to be extremely comprehensive! Yes, we made it on Yahoo! Singapore. Heeheehee. --> Not evil laughter, I promise!


We made another comic shop after that, before heading down to check out the early May The Fourth Star Wars celebrations(Celebrate The Force)! Free Fightsaber lessons for the kids, as organized by the Fightsaber guys! Sadly, no "big kid"s were entertained onstage!

  
 

Besides fightsaber training for the kids, there was plenty of artwork and figurines on display(and more importantly, ON SALE, with proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation!) for the adults too!

Of course, there was also customized stuff on sale, with proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish charity.

This almost tempted me, but it was hella expensive, and I keep needing to remind myself that have no more space!!!


The Band Of Doodlers was also hard at work, almost magically filling up a blank canvas with drawings. (I know I should probably stop being amazed since I see my artistic colleagues doodling all the time, but somehow, I still do!)
       



Star Wars Day actually continues today, 3rd May, Sunday, but I have other plans tonight, so I'll be giving the continued celebrations today a miss. I might finally stroll next door tomorrow to snap a selfie with the Yoda statue at the Luscasfilm Sandcrawler building tomorrow! I mean, May the Fourth seems like an appropriate date to do so, right? Even though I have had every lunch hour since January 2014! Heh.
